Activity report

In the synergy activities between the DES and its bond with the company MeyahIchha S.A. de C.V. the following practice was conducted in the premises of the UNACAR on 28 January 2015. “PRACTICE WITH OBSERVATION ROV” which was mainly engaged in the operation of underwater robot in the body of water located at Campus III, the distinguished participation of personnel from the Company Meyah featured the presence of coordinator Julia Aguirre and operator Oscar Diaz Luis Mayo, and on UNACAR side the managers of educational programs Mechatronics, Mechanical and Oil Field, MC Delio Humberto González Uc, Dr. Miguel Meza Izquierdo and Dr. Daniel Hernández Montoya Hernández respectively along with students of the above mentioned academic programs. As part of the activities the checking of the following systems: communication, power, engine response, camera and various mechatronic systems were performed prior to immersion.

The pilot from the Company Meyah operates the ROV from a remote location and obtains images from the bottom of the water body.

The submarine in the body of water where readings from the depth were taken and it was estimated to be of 1 ½ meters with a habitat of various fish that were observed trough the operators console thanks to the cameras installed on the robot.
